China Town

The China Town district of Bangkok, also known as Yaowarat, is within walking distance of the river. It’s well known for the fantastic variety of street stalls, gold dealers, traditional Chinese medicines shops and much more. Traffic is notoriously busy in this part of the city so a walking tour is probably the best way to explore this fascinating part of old Bangkok that was created by Bangkok traders relocated when the construction of the Grand Palace began in the 18th century.
