Most of Bangkok’s historic sites such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho are located along the Chao Phraya River. So traveling on commuter boats to visit these places becomes one of the most popular activities among tourists. However, after a long walking tour, it is hard to find a place where you can sit, relax and sip a cup of coffee while watching the hustle and bustle of the river. Wait no more! You can do all of these things and more at Tha Maharaj Pier.

All of them are major tourist attractions in the city. The pier is in old neighborhood surrounded by charming local shops and two old prestigious universities.
